Mental Health and Addictions Support Specialist

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Mental Health and Addictions Support Worker to join our team. As a Mental Health and Addictions Support Worker, you will work under the direction of a Registered Nurse or another regulated healthcare professional to perform a variety of non-direct and/or non-clinical duties to support other team members and individuals with mental health and/or substance use challenges and their family/caregivers, to maximize their independence.
Key Responsibilities- Work with clients living with mental illness and/or substance use challenges to provide support and guidance.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
- Provide education and resources to clients and their families to promote healthy living and recovery.
- Assist with daily living activities and provide emotional support to clients.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of care plans.
