Production Equipment Repair Specialist

PepsiCo Beverages Canada is seeking a skilled Maintenance Millwright to join our team in Delta, BC. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for repairing and installing production equipment, inspecting equipment for proper functioning, performing preventative maintenance duties, and diagnosing equipment malfunctions for repairs and adjustments as needed.
About the Role:
This is a full-time position that requires open availability including weekends. You will work on shifts, including afternoons and graveyards, and may be required to work overtime as needed. In addition to your technical skills, you must have excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to interact daily with computerized maintenance and parts programs.
Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on production equipment.
- Repair building systems.
- Changeover production line equipment.
- Upgrade areas with new equipment/technology, working with outside contractors.
- Interact daily with computerized maintenance and parts programs.
- Perform all assigned duties in a safe and productive manner.
- Follow the direction of Maintenance Leadhand, Supervisors, and Department Managers.
- Able to work in a multi-department team environment.
- Keep work area orderly and clean.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A High School Diploma (or equivalent) preferred.
- To be a Certified Industrial Mechanic Millwright or have completed an Industrial Mechanic Millwright Apprenticeship.
- Class 4 Power Engineer Certificate is an asset (PepsiCo will pay for training courses).
- Knowledge of machine control systems, safety control system, and troubleshooting them.
- Willing to contribute and dedicated to reducing our environmental footprint.
- Bottle and Can Line maintenance experience in the food/packaged goods industry is an asset.
- Able to work with machine shop tools and welders in a safe productive setting.
- Ability to read and understand layout drawings and machine parts manuals.
- To lift/carry 50-85 lbs., push/pull up to 50 lbs., and perform frequent standing, bending, twisting, crawling, kneeling, squatting, climbing, reaching, and grasping.
- To work shifts and overtime as required.
