About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety and Asset Protection Advisor to join our team at Tolko Industries. As a key member of our safety team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our employees and assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective safety programs and procedures to mitigate risks and prevent accidents.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with plant managers and other stakeholders to develop and implement safety policies and procedures.
  • Provide training and coaching to employees on safety protocols and procedures.
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in occupational health and safety or a related field.
  • Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) designation or working towards one.
  • 3-5 years of experience in occupational health and safety, preferably in the forest industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
