We are seeking a skilled Framing Carpenter to join our team at Nextgen Construction Inc. as a Construction Specialist. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in woodworking and a passion for building.
Key Responsibilities- Measure, Cut, and Assemble Materials: The successful candidate will be responsible for measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
- Install Windows, Doors, and Stairs: Our ideal candidate will have experience fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
- Train and Mentor Apprentices: As a seasoned carpenter, the successful candidate will be responsible for instructing and mentoring apprentices in the art of carpentry.
- Work Environment: The role will involve working in a noisy and dusty environment, with a 30-hour workweek.
- Language and Work Term: The successful candidate will be required to work in English and have a permanent work term.
- Education: A secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the field is necessary.
