Job Summary

The Building Operator III (Electrician) plays a critical role in maintaining the reliability and efficiency of facility mechanical and electrical equipment and systems. This position requires a high level of expertise in electrical work, with a strong emphasis on preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and on-demand maintenance tasks on facility mechanical and electrical equipment and systems.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and implement preventative measures.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed, including repairs and maintenance activities.
  • Respond to emergency situations and perform necessary repairs to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
  • Collaborate with other facilities staff to ensure seamless delivery of services.
  • Participate in training and professional development to stay up-to-date with industry best practices and technologies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma plus specialized technical or business course.
  • More than three years up to five years of experience in facility operations and maintenance.
  • Journeyman level Electrical license.
  • Advanced ability to adhere to and execute processes and practices relating to facility operations and maintenance.
  • Strong understanding of fire, life, safety, and building codes and standards.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Salary Range: $65,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
