Addiction Support Specialist, Substance Use Recovery

The role of Wellness Navigator, Substance Use, is critical in achieving this vision. This position operates within a harm reduction approach in the context of drug decriminalization, guiding individuals impacted by substance use toward solutions, services, and awareness while collaborating with lived experience voices, partners, and policing services.
We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Wellness Navigator, Substance Use. The successful candidate will have 3-5 years of recent and relevant experience in substance use prevention, a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, and training in Naloxone, First Aid Level 1 (with CPR), HEP B shot, and flu vaccine.
This role requires a deep understanding of the BC health care system and the current landscape of First Nations health in BC. If you have experience in roles such as Recovery Coach, Wellness Advocate for Recovery, or Wellness Engagement Liaison, we encourage you to apply.
As a member of our team, you will have access to a wide range of employee benefits, including a municipal pension plan with an employer contribution of 9.31%, three weeks' vacation which increases with service to four weeks, plus five personal days, one volunteer day, and 14 holidays.
The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 per annum, depending on experience. We are committed to respecting diversity within our workforce and preference will be given to individuals with Indigenous ancestry.

As a health and wellness organization, the FNHA has aligned with the Provincial Public Health Order released on October 14, 2021. We have a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy for all employees at First Nations Health Authority. If selected for employment, you will be required to provide proof of vaccination by providing a copy of your BC Vaccination Card Passport with the QR code.
