We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team at Willowdale Physiotherapy Services. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in assisting health care professionals in providing high-quality patient care.

About the Role:

This permanent position offers 30 hours of work per week and is perfect for an individual with a passion for rehabilitation and patient care. Our ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in a related field and a strong understanding of physiotherapy practices.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist health care professionals in developing and implementing treatment programs for patients with various injuries or disabilities.
  • Carry out treatment plans under the direction of physiotherapists and/or occupational therapists.
  • Follow up with patients to ensure they are progressing as expected.
  • Position patients for treatments and assist chiropractors and physical therapists as needed.
  • Set up and dismantle equipment, clean and maintain it, and prepare supplies.
  • Administer evaluative tests and procedures, and document patient progress.
Requirements:
  • Education: College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English.
Work Environment:

Our clinic operates in various locations, including chronic or long-term care facilities/centres. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, often standing, walking, or bending, so a good level of physical fitness is required.

Compensation:

The estimated annual salary for this position is $40,000-$50,000 based on industry standards and location.
