Structural Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team at Adecco Canada. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in designing and analyzing structural systems for various projects, ensuring compliance with OBC Part 4 requirements.
Responsibilities:- Design and analyze structural systems, components, and connections for buildings and other structures.
- Ensure that all designs meet or exceed the relevant provisions of the Ontario Building Code (Part 4), including loading requirements, material specifications, and safety regulations.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, coordinating with architects, contractors, and other engineers to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of structural designs.
- Utilize advanced structural analysis and design software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro) to create detailed models and simulations that accurately reflect the structural behavior of buildings under various loads.
- Prepare comprehensive design reports, calculations, and construction drawings that clearly communicate the structural design intent to clients and construction teams.
- Work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide solutions that meet both their expectations and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to verify that construction work aligns with the approved structural designs and OBC requirements.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering (Masters an asset).
- Minimum of 4 years of proven structural design experience within a consulting firm.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation is required.
- Strong understanding of OBC, structural engineering principles and design standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in design work.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent time management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills.
