About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Database Specialist to join our team at CircleCI. This role is ideal for someone who is excited to integrate infrastructure engineering principles with database management, contributing to the stability and optimization of our production environments.

The successful candidate will have a solid background in cloud-based infrastructure (preferably AWS) and experience in deploying and managing services at scale. They will also possess a working knowledge of database systems, specifically MongoDB and Postgres, and understand best practices for database optimization and security.

The Cloud Infrastructure Database Specialist will be responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams to manage and optimize our database fleet within the context of the broader infrastructure. They will ensure high availability and performance of databases, utilizing effective monitoring and incident response practices.

This role offers the opportunity to work on exciting projects that support infrastructure reliability, security, and overall performance. We are looking for a dedicated individual with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to automate workflows and optimize processes to reduce manual interventions in both infrastructure and database management.

Requirements
  • Infrastructure Expertise: Experience with cloud-based infrastructure (preferably AWS) and deployment and management of services at scale.
  • Familiarity with Database Management: Working knowledge of database systems, specifically MongoDB and Postgres, and understanding of best practices for database optimization and security.
  • Problem-Solver: Ability to diagnose issues in complex systems and find effective solutions.
  • Automation Focused: Experience with automation tools and scripting languages.

What We Offer

At CircleCI, we offer a competitive salary range of $129,000 — $161,000 CAD, depending on experience. We also provide a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
