Chief Financial Officer

The Finance Director plays a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Finance function at JAN-PRO of Southwestern Ontario. This position is responsible for implementing the strategic direction for the function, as provided by the President, and ensuring the effective execution of financial policies and processes.
Key Responsibilities:- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present monthly and quarterly financial reports to the President and other stakeholders, providing insightful analysis and recommendations for improvement.
- Annual Accounts: Oversee the preparation of annual accounts for audit and statutory reporting, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Odoo ERP Implementation: Lead the implementation of the Odoo ERP system, ensuring seamless integration with existing processes and systems, and ultimate responsibility for the Finance function within the ERP.
- Team Supervision: Supervise and performance manage the Payroll Coordinator and Accountant, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful execution of their duties.
- Financial Operations: Monitor and manage day-to-day financial operations, including payroll, invoicing, and other transactions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Tax Compliance: Complete tax returns and other statutory compliance requirements, ensuring the company remains compliant with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Financial Support: Provide financial and analytical support to the President, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
- Financial Systems: Develop, implement, and monitor financial systems, procedures, and internal controls to support the efficient and effective operation of the Finance function.
- Leadership Team Support: Collaborate with the Leadership Team to ensure effective budgeting, spending, reporting, and financial accountability, as well as Odoo ERP workflow management.
- Ad-hoc Analysis: Perform ad-hoc analysis to provide performance insights that aid growth and focus resource allocation, ensuring the company remains competitive and successful.
The Finance Director will develop strong and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring effective communications and issue resolution. This role requires a high degree of financial acumen, strategic thinking, and leadership skills, with a strong focus on delivering results and driving business growth.
