Forklift Operator Job Description

Adecco Canada is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our team in a warehouse environment. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a variety of forklifts, including Crown Reach, Order Picker, and Dockstocker, to move, load, and unload materials within the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for moving materials within the warehouse, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Perform a variety of physically demanding duties, such as manually loading and unloading goods, and following all company safety, security, and housekeeping protocols.
  • Loading trucks, offloading trucks, and operating a slip sheet to unload containers.
  • Must be comfortable driving and working in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements:
  • Valid forklift certification.
  • At least 1 year of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment (Crown Reach, Order Picker, and Dockstocker).
  • Must possess previous warehouse experience and be comfortable with general labor, including case picking, palletizing product.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Experience with slip sheet is an asset.
  • High energy and ability to follow processes.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with staff and outside drivers in dispatch.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
