The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and technically competent Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment, ensuring that all aspects of our maintenance program support our Quality and Food Safety programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems, including cleaning, filter changes, and inspections.
  • Diagnose and repair HVAC issues, including electrical and mechanical components.
  • Ensure HVAC systems are operating efficiently and comply with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, including lighting, wiring, and circuit breakers.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems to prevent breakdowns.
  • Maintain and repair mechanical systems such as plumbing, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical failures and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
  • Perform routine building maintenance tasks, including painting, carpentry, and general repairs.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education or equivalent in a mechanical or electrical field of study.
  • Experience in either facility or equipment maintenance preferred.
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detailed documentation.
  • Ability to network and build high-trust relationships with a wide variety of trades and technical support personnel from equipment suppliers.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
