Job Title: Auditor HSEQ

About the Role:

The CSL Group Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Auditor HSEQ to join our team. As an Auditor HSEQ, you will be responsible for conducting ISM and dynamic Navigational audits to ensure compliance with the Company's Safety Management System. You will also be responsible for implementing the company's safety management system on assigned vessels, promoting good communication between ashore departments and ship crew, and managing and following up on ISM, ISPS, MLC, ISO, and flag audits.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct ISM and dynamic Navigational audits to ensure compliance with the Company's Safety Management System.
• Implement the company's safety management system on assigned vessels.
• Promote good communication between ashore departments and ship crew.
• Manage and follow up on ISM, ISPS, MLC, ISO, and flag audits.
• Handle HSEQ audits or inquiries on board vessels.
• Monitor corrective and preventive actions.
• Conduct incident and accident investigations.
• Regularly inspect vessels and ports in accordance with company policies.
• Conduct training sessions for shore staff and ship crew when required.
• Act as a point of contact for flag administrations and support the Fleet department with classification societies.
• Participate in the Emergency Response Team when necessary.

Requirements:

• 2 years of sailing experience on dry bulk vessels as a Chief Officer on the Canadian Great Lakes, with command experience as a Master being advantageous.
• Experience on self-unloading vessels is an asset.
• Experience conducting internal ISM audits, dynamic Navigational audits on ships is preferred.
• Experience handling vetting inspections, port state inspections, and other third-party inspections.
• Experience in accident and incident investigation in the marine field.
• Experience dealing with class, flag, and other regulating bodies.
• Experience in carrying out risk assessments in the marine field.
• Certificate of Competency as a Master or Chief Mate Near Coastal or equivalent.
• ISM Internal Auditor Course preferred.
• ISO Lead Auditor course - ISO 14001, ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 18001 preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Practical knowledge of ERP software such as Oracle, Shipsure 2.0, etc.
• Trained in accident investigation and risk assessment techniques in the marine field.
• Strong understanding and knowledge of Transport Canada and IMO regulations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and interact with people at all levels.
• Excellent communication (oral and written) skills.

• Ability to use company software systems.
