We are seeking a skilled Mortgage Underwriting Professional to support our team with processing and fulfilling mortgage applications. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for reviewing and evaluating loan applications, ensuring timely fulfilment of approved mortgages, and maintaining strong relationships with mortgage brokers.
Responsibilities:- Mortgage Application Review: Assess and evaluate mortgage loan applications to ensure compliance with company guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Application Support: Assist mortgage agents in qualifying and building loan applications, ensuring accurate and thorough documentation.
- Workflow Management: Efficiently manage workflow, meet deadlines, and maintain open communication with team members and stakeholders.
- Industry Expertise: Stay up-to-date on industry trends, regulatory changes, and product knowledge, including prime, Alt B, and Private capital business.
- Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in residential mortgage underwriting, preferably in prime and Alt B lending.
- Skillset: Proficiency in Filogix/Velocity, strong analytical and organizational skills, excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Education: Strong understanding of commercial products is an asset, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
A competitive salary of $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits package and opportunities for professional growth. GNE Mortgages Inc. is an equal opportunity employer, committed to diversity and inclusion.
