MPE Engineering Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Structural Design Engineer to join our team in Saskatchewan. As a key member of our engineering team, you will work closely with our experienced engineers to deliver high-quality structural design and construction inspection services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general project engineering duties under the supervision of a Professional Engineer, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies.
  • Collaborate with the project team to prepare technical reports, design drawings, specifications, and contract documents, utilizing industry-leading software and tools.
  • Design and develop structural systems for various infrastructure projects, including hydraulic structures, industrial buildings, and steel structures, such as hoist systems, monorail systems, cranes, platforms, and railings.
  • Provide quality assurance and quality control support during construction, ensuring that projects are completed to the highest standards.
  • Perform construction administration, coordination, and supervision duties, working closely with clients to meet their project objectives.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited University, with a focus on structural engineering being an asset.
  • Registration or eligibility for registration with the Association of Professional Engineers of Saskatchewan (APEGS).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients and project teams.
  • Aptitude for general construction methods, with previous field-work experience being considered an asset.
  • Experience or knowledge with design software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools.
  • Class 5 Driver's License and personal vehicle for out-of-town work as required.
  • Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills, able to work independently and as part of a team.
