Job Summary

Brisk Movers Inc. is seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our transportation department, you will be responsible for safely operating a variety of vehicles to transport goods and materials across different locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and Maintain Vehicles: Drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a high level of vehicle condition.
  • Load and Unload Goods: Safely load and unload goods, adhering to company procedures and regulations.
  • Inspect Vehicles: Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicles are in good working condition.
  • Communicate with Dispatch: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring efficient communication and coordination.
  • Record and Maintain Documents: Accurately record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, as well as maintain driver logbooks and other relevant documents.
Requirements
  • Class 5/5F/G Licence: Possess a valid Class 5/5F/G licence for cars, small trucks, and other 2-axle vehicles.
  • Defensive Driving Course: Complete a defensive driving course to enhance safe driving practices.
  • First Aid Certificate: Hold a valid first aid certificate.
  • Physical Demands: Be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work in a physically demanding environment.
