The Nurse Practitioner role at Interior Health Authority involves supporting clients in achieving safe, realistic, and reasonable goals by assessing, planning, coordinating, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and transitioning nursing and other care services.
Key responsibilities include developing, implementing, and adapting care plans, delivering direct care, assessing service eligibility, and providing care management to help clients manage their own care and navigate through the various services available within the community setting.
The successful candidate will enhance the quality of life for clients and families, consult, confer, and collaborate with other healthcare providers, and demonstrate continuous improvement and evidence-based practice in nursing. Additionally, they will maintain and advance their clinical competence, participate in designated committees and teams, and contribute to approved research projects as assigned.
This is a casual opportunity, which means hours are not guaranteed and may vary, and shifts may be at short notice. However, casual employees are eligible to apply for internal postings, including permanent and temporary positions, and may have opportunities to transition to regular employment.
Shifts of work will be scheduled on days, rotating from 08:30 to 16:30 hours.
