Our team at SGS Société Générale de Surveillance SA is seeking a skilled Quantitative Risk Model Specialist to join our Risk Management Department. About the Role

This role involves participating in the design, validation, and maintenance of complex risk models across various asset classes. You will be responsible for conducting independent model reviews, assessing data quality, and analyzing model output through backtesting and sensitivity analysis. Your expertise in quantitative tools and techniques will enable you to replicate model architecture, verify computational accuracy, and ensure correct implementation.

As a key member of our team, you will work closely with Senior Quantitative Advisors, model developers, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality results. Your strong communication skills will facilitate collaboration with both technical and non-technical staff, ensuring seamless execution of projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct independent model reviews, assessing conceptual soundness, data quality, and model performance
  • Analyze model output through backtesting, benchmarking, and sensitivity analysis
  • Replicate and review model architecture to verify computational accuracy and correct implementation
  • Work with large datasets to verify data input quality and processing
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality results
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Master's or PhD preferred)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in model development, validation, or front-office quant role
  • Strong programming skills in Python, R, C++, or similar languages
  • Advanced knowledge of statistics, econometrics, and machine learning
  • Data management experience working with large datasets
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with model risk management practices and regulatory requirements
