Job Title: Senior Tailings Process Engineer

Hatch is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Tailings Process Engineer to join our team in Mississauga, ON, Canada. As a key member of our tailings management practice, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and leadership in the development of integrated tailings solutions for our clients in the North American market.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers and support the development of tailings management projects.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to identify and develop innovative solutions for tailings management.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and stakeholders in the mining industry.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in tailings management and apply this knowledge to improve our services and solutions.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • 10-15 years of experience in tailings dewatering, separation, and pumping design for precious and base metals, battery materials, ferrous, and non-ferrous.
  • Proven experience in developing process design criteria, mass balances, and process flowsheets for dewatering, backfilling, and synergy between underground and surface disposal.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong technical skills, with a focus on tailings management and process engineering.
