Overview

We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting full lifecycle analysis, developing analysis and reporting capabilities, and monitoring performance and quality control plans to identify improvements.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and monitor production system alerts and provide triage support for priority systems/processes.
  • Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases.
  • Maintain and monitor ETL processes currently running and create the new ones if required.
  • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
  • Filter and clean data by reviewing reports.
  • Provide reports and data support to other departments.
  • Work with management to prioritize business and information needs.
  • Document the new processes.

Requirements:
  • Proven working experience as a data analyst or business data analyst.
  • Technical knowledge of data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with databases, SQL, PostgreSQL.
  • Knowledge of programming (Python or R) or ETL tools (Alteryx or Knime) is an asset.
  • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational, written & verbal communication skills.
  • Confidence and ability to work in a highly visible, fast-paced environment with minimal supervision, capable of delivering quality results with high expectations of workload output.
  • Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings.
  • BS in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics an asset.
