Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Operations Technician to join our team at Johnson Electric. As an Operations Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining automation equipment, including robotic and CNC machines, while ensuring compliance with Safety, Quality, and Environmental systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Under general supervision, perform complex operations and duties in production, including tracking equipment performance and adjusting set-ups, calibrations, and alignments.
  • Track data associated with production equipment and report any inconsistencies.
  • Assist with training other production technicians to cross-train workers.
  • Set up and maintain automated cells, including robots, conveyor, sensors, and cylinders.
  • Analyze "out of tolerance" conditions and make adjustments via offsets.
  • Read and interpret CMM reports.
  • Set up and maintain adjustable support tools (fixturing).
  • Predict tool wear and tool changes based on SPC data.
  • Identify, select, and prepare tooling.
  • Process and tooling improvements for cost reduction programs.
  • Work in compliance with Johnson Electric FPS Quality Systems, Safety Systems & Environmental Systems.

Requirements:

  • A technical degree/diploma in engineering technology or technologist program, or appropriate combination of education & relevant work experience.
  • 2 years minimum experience in the operations and set up of high-volume CNC machining applications in a manufacturing environment, including CNC Machinist or CNC setup.
  • Certified to automotive systems and quality requirements based on ISO/IATF 16949 Operating Systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
