About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Truck Trailer Mechanic to join our team at D Alliance Motors. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and safety of our commercial transport trucks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on truck-trailer systems, including adjustments, replacements, and inspections.
  • Diagnostic and Troubleshooting: Identify and diagnose mechanical issues, and implement effective solutions to ensure vehicles are roadworthy.
  • Parts and Labour Estimation: Accurately estimate costs for vehicle maintenance and repairs, ensuring transparency and efficiency in our operations.
  • Quality Control and Assurance: Conduct thorough inspections and tests to ensure all work meets our high standards.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to achieve team goals, share knowledge, and provide coaching and guidance to apprentices.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education and Experience: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with overtime required, standing for extended periods, and manual dexterity necessary.
  • Personal Qualities: Dependability, flexibility, judgement, reliability, and a team player attitude.
Security and Safety
  • Criminal Record Check: A valid criminal record check is required.
  • Driving Record Check: A valid driving record check (abstract) is required.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
  • Language: English.
