Job Summary

We are currently seeking an experienced Metal Fabrication Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our production staff, you will be responsible for operating various metal fabrication equipment, reading blueprints, and maintaining a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, including MIG, TIG, and arc welders, to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals, and processes to ensure accurate execution of tasks.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment to cut and shape metal materials.
  • Operate brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines to transform metal into desired shapes.
  • Operate hoisting and lifting equipment to move heavy metal objects and materials.
  • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Requirements:
  • College diploma or certificate in a related field, such as metal fabrication, mechanical engineering, or a similar discipline.
  • 1-6 months of experience in metal fabrication, preferably in a manufacturing or construction environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures, including personal protective equipment (PPE) usage.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Compensation:

The estimated annual salary for this position is $45,000-$60,000 CAD, depending on experience and qualifications.

Work Environment:

This is a permanent full-time position, working 35 hours per week. The work environment is fast-paced and physically demanding, requiring the ability to lift heavy objects and work at heights.
