Job Summary

Horizon North is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Logistics Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing direct supervision to our field staff, scheduling and dispatching drivers and equipment, and ensuring the efficient operation of our logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule and Dispatch: Schedule and dispatch drivers, equipment, and crews to ensure timely service delivery.
  • Field Supervision: Provide direct supervision to field staff, including mentoring and coaching to ensure high levels of performance and productivity.
  • Logistics Coordination: Coordinate logistics operations, including arranging servicing of fleet vehicles and equipment, and ensuring compliance with corporate and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Team Management: Supervise, coach, and mentor team members to ensure all Dexterra Group policies and procedures are followed.
  • Performance Management: Develop team members by providing regular feedback, having performance management conversations, and completing annual performance reviews.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience in the matting and transportation industry, with experience in a supervisory role.
  • Skills: Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage a fluctuating workload, changing priorities, and firm deadlines. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and in a team atmosphere.
  • Education: Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel.
