The Role

We are seeking an experienced General Manager to oversee all aspects of operations at Black's Pub. As the leader of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional service standards, profitability, and guest satisfaction. Your primary focus will be on guiding a dedicated team, nurturing a positive work culture, and driving performance while maintaining our reputation as a premier destination in Whistler.

Key Responsibilities

  • Full sales & product knowledge
  • Schedule and manage a team, including recruitment, training, and development, coaching, and discipline management
  • Attend and contribute to regular operations meetings focused on profit and revenue, labour, and employee feedback
  • Daily inventory to ensure the business is set up for success for the following shift
  • Liquor license compliance
  • Champion internal feedback and hook-up programs
  • Marketing and event execution
  • Uphold Gibbons Core Values

Requirements

  • Experience in hospitality is essential
  • Marketing/Sales background is an asset
  • Guest experience-focused, involving growing and supporting community connections
  • Administration and computer skills, including but not limited to: Microsoft products, POS, employee timekeeping programs
  • Flexibility and adaptability
  • Strong communication skills and ability to react calmly to challenging and stressful situations
  • Serving It Right certification
  • First Aid (or willing to acquire)
