East Side Grocery Ltd is seeking a Sales Associate to join our retail team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, processing transactions, and maintaining a clean store appearance.

About the Job

This position requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as attention to detail and ability to multitask. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment and provide excellent customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Operate a cash register and process transactions accurately and efficiently;
  • Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, responding to inquiries, and resolving issues promptly;
  • Maintain a clean and organized store appearance, including restocking shelves and sweeping floors;
  • Process payments and handle cash, credit card, and debit transactions;
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive store atmosphere;
Requirements
  • Highest secondary (high) school graduation certificate;
  • No prior experience required, but an asset;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in processing transactions;
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 kg;
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends;
