Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Recreation Planning Analyst to join our team at the City of Brampton. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing research, analysis, and support for Recreation Planning teams, including Line of Business, Marketing, and Facility Planning projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and analysis related to Line of Business, Facility Profiles, and program areas to establish historical and current trends.
  • Perform analysis of external, third-party, and related research or reports.
  • Develop and maintain databases of Facility Profiles and customer information to assist staff with decision-making.
  • Compile and distribute statistical reports on program success and key performance indicators.
  • Provide technical support to internal and external stakeholders, including Committee and Council.

Requirements

  • High school graduation plus an additional program of three to four years or equivalent in Geographic/Environmental Studies, Urban Planning, Economic Development, or related studies.
  • Over two years of experience in a research environment in a municipal recreation setting with detail-oriented duties.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in applications such as MS Office, database applications, and website content/authoring tools.
  • Familiarity with the municipal government legislative and regulatory context.
