We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Commodore's Boats Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining various structures, including residential and commercial buildings, as well as wooden structures in mills, mines, and other establishments.
Key Responsibilities:- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
- Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
- Estimate costs and materials
- Maintain, repair, and renovate structures
- 2 years to less than 3 years of experience
- Reliability and teamwork skills
- Ability to work at heights, in noisy and dusty environments
- Physical stamina to handle heavy loads
- Health care plan
- Permanent employment
- 40 hours per week
