About the Role

This is a dynamic leadership opportunity at Whole Foods Market where you will have the chance to make a meaningful impact on our team's performance and success. As a Meat & Seafood Associate Team Leader, you will be responsible for assisting the Team Leader in all aspects of daily operations, including profitability, expense control, buying, merchandising, labor, regulatory compliance, and special projects assigned.

You will play a key role in leading and developing Team Members, fostering a positive work environment of outstanding teamwork, mutual respect, and exceptional morale. Your strong organizational skills will enable you to set and achieve high standards of retail execution, ensuring that our customers receive an exceptional shopping experience.

Responsibilities
  • Drive sales growth and improve profit margins through effective inventory management, pricing strategies, and visual merchandising.
  • Develop and implement store layouts, product displays, and signage that effectively showcase our products and create an engaging customer experience.
  • Cultivate a culture of excellence by promoting quality, food safety, and sustainability practices among Team Members.
  • Partner with the Team Leader to select, train, develop, mentor, motivate, and counsel Team Members to build a high-performance team and minimize turnover.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, responding to their queries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring their satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate records, manage cash handling, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge of meat and seafood products, including cutting, preparing, displaying, and storing techniques.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets, managing inventory, and controlling expenses.
  • Familiarity with food safety and quality control procedures.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and move quickly in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in hospitality, business, or a related field preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field is highly desirable.

The estimated salary range for this position is $25-$35 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
