Job Summary:

The Warehouse Operations Specialist will play a critical role in maintaining production and quality by ensuring the efficient operation of machinery and equipment in our warehouse. This position reports to the Shipping Supervisor and requires a strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate a sit-down counterbalance forklift while maintaining a valid forklift certification
  • Work comfortably in outdoor environments and maintain a high level of physical fitness
  • Communicate effectively with drivers to ensure accurate loading and unloading of materials
  • Utilize the First-In-First-Out (FIFO) system to identify product locations in the yard and warehouse
  • Load and unload trucks efficiently
  • Pick and sort stock using a forklift with minimal errors
  • Assist with inventory counts as required
  • Guide truck drivers to ensure safe loading and unloading of materials

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid forklift certification (Class 1 license)
  • Ability to read and understand pick lists
  • Willingness to work overtime, including weekends, as needed
  • Ability to pass a physical fitness test
  • 2 years of experience operating a forklift
  • Previous experience in materials handling and distribution warehouses is an asset
  • Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills
  • Positive team attitude and ability to work independently
