About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our team at Shift Technology, a leading innovator in the InsurTech industry. As a Data Scientist, you will play a key role in developing and implementing AI-powered solutions to transform the insurance industry.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Product Development: You will actively participate in the development of our suite of products, including fraud detection, anti-money laundering, and claim automation, working with various data types such as structured data, free text, documents, and images.
  2. Data Engineering: You will implement data engineering solutions, typically from client extracts to the insertion of data in our data stores (SQL, ElasticSearch).
  3. Model Development: You will develop, test, and tune models for tasks such as fraud detection and automation detection in complex environments.
  4. Automation and Business Process Improvement: You will automate key business tasks by implementing them in our production process framework in C#.
  5. Client and Stakeholder Engagement: You will conduct meetings with clients and interact with external stakeholders to gather feedback, present business cases, and define the roadmap for product evolution.
Requirements
  1. Code Savvy: You should have a strong background in computer science and/or have developed production-quality code that will run every day without breaking.
  2. AI Savvy: You should have a solid understanding of machine learning and statistics, with the ability to communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  3. Client-Facing: You should be comfortable and open to communicating with clients on a regular basis.
  4. Business Acumen: You should have a strong interest in learning and mastering the business aspects of our products.
