Job Details

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at Emperor's Palace Chinese Restaurant.

Job Summary: As a Kitchen Helper, you will be responsible for assisting our chefs in the kitchen with food preparation, cleaning, and organization. Your attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen.

Responsibilities:

  • Food Preparation: Assist chefs with food preparation, including washing and peeling vegetables, and portioning and wrapping food.
  • Cleaning and Organization: Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces, and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Supply Management: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Garbage and Recycling: Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and ensure proper recycling practices are followed.
  • General Kitchen Duties: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, and perform other general kitchen duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Will train.
  • Work Setting: Urban area.
  • Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, repetitive tasks, work under pressure, attention to detail.
  • Personal Suitability: Team player, ability to multitask, initiative, positive attitude.
