About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Kitchen Assistant Department Manager to join our team at Longo's. As a key member of our food service department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Motivate and mentor Team Members to achieve high levels of productivity and customer satisfaction.
  2. Provide support with regular team meetings and coaching to ensure effective communication and teamwork.
  3. Assist the Food Service Manager in maintaining the highest standards of food safety, health and safety, and loss prevention.
  4. Merchandise and manage inventory to meet financial objectives and provide exceptional customer service.
  5. Uphold company policies and procedures, including health and safety, food safety, and loss prevention.
Requirements
  1. Minimum of 1-year experience in a food service department with a solid understanding of product knowledge.
  2. Strong customer service skills and the ability to build relationships with Team Members and Customers.
  3. Ability to lead, coach, motivate, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  4. Strong computer skills and ability to quickly learn new systems.
  5. Ownership to resolve issues with a sense of urgency.
  6. Effective communication and listening skills.
  7. Strong creativity skills and ability to create eye-catching displays.
Work Environment
  1. Work is performed in a store retail environment.
  2. Must be available to work days, evenings, and weekends.
  3. Travel is required to support off-site events.
