Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Consultant to join our team at the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce. As a key member of our Third Party Governance Office, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective management of third-party risks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the execution of due diligence assessments to enable effective controls pertaining to third-party arrangements.
  • Collaborate with key risk partners to determine if potential risks are appropriately mitigated by third-party or bank processes and controls.
  • Conduct control group due diligence activities, including concentration risk, criticality assessment, supplier financial viability, and other risk management methodologies.
  • Develop and implement control group risk reporting and metrics.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with the third-party risk community to understand their needs and support the evolution of our processes and services.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in supporting the execution of third-party risk-based programs or similar operational risk areas.
  • Financial Services experience or a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Critical thinking skills and the ability to inform decision-making.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and a diverse network of partners.
