We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Acute Medical Unit at Fraser Health. As a key member of our interprofessional care team, you will provide direct patient care, assess patient needs, and develop and implement individualized care plans.
Responsibilities- Assess patients and collect information from various sources to inform care decisions
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the interprofessional care team
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and providing education to patients and families
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and effective communication
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of safety and excellence
- Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
- Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
