Job Title: Plant Equipment Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Plant Equipment Mechanic to join our team at Ya YA Foods Corp (RP0001). As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our plant equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance work on machinery, including lubrication, cleaning, and repair.
  • Install and repair machinery and equipment, including hoisting and lifting equipment.
  • Operate machining tools to fabricate parts and repair or replace defective machinery parts.
  • Supervise other workers and coach and instruct apprentices.
  • Estimate costs and materials for maintenance and repair projects.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications.
Work Environment:

Our plant is a fast-paced environment with a focus on safety and efficiency. You will be working at heights, in noisy conditions, and with odours. You will also be required to work in confined spaces and handle heavy loads.

Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a related field.
  • Ability to work at heights, in noisy conditions, and with odours.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and handle heavy loads.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications.
