Safety Officer Job Description

Puglisevich Crews and Services Limited is seeking a highly skilled Safety Officer to join our team. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment for all employees and contractors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide training and information to employers, employees, and the general public on health and safety procedures.
  • Establish and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections of workplaces to identify potential hazards and take corrective action.
  • Investigate workplace accidents and illnesses to identify root causes and implement preventive measures.
  • Develop and implement health and safety plans to minimize risks and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Oversee the preparation of reports and ensure that all health and safety data is accurately recorded and analyzed.
  • Advise senior management on health and safety matters and provide recommendations for improvement.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
