We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our pediatric team at Community Therapists. As a Community Pediatric Occupational Therapist, you will work with children, families, and caregivers to develop personalized treatment plans that promote independence, confidence, and overall well-being.

About the Role

This part-time to full-time position is available in our neurodivergent-affirming community-based pediatric practice serving Langley, Mission, Maple Ridge, and Pitt Meadows. You will work with a diverse group of funders, including MCFD, CBIPCY, schools, and parents, to provide home, school, and community-based rehabilitation for children with autism, brain injuries, and other developmental concerns.

Your Key Responsibilities

  1. Conduct community-based assessments and implement treatment plans to address ADLs, fine motor skills, gross motor skills, visual perception, and other functional areas.
  2. Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  3. Provide education and support to families and caregivers on strategies to promote child development and independence.
  4. Stay up-to-date with best practices and evidence-based interventions in pediatric occupational therapy.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Current membership with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia (COTBC) or eligibility for registration.
  • Minimum 1 year of pediatric occupational therapy experience.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Reliable vehicle for clinical appointments.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
