Your Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our team in the Emergency Department at Alberta Health Services. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, providing comprehensive health services to individuals across their lifespan. You will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing treatment, and performing procedures to manage and meet the health needs of patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive health services to individuals across their lifespan
  • Assess, diagnose, order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe treatment, and perform procedures
  • Work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of patients
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes

Requirements:

  • Successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program and a minimum of master's degree
  • Registration with CRNA on the Nurse Practitioner Registrar including Provisional Graduate Nurse Practitioner licensure
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in an emergency department or similar setting
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
