Job Summary

This position entails performing routine maintenance tasks and repairing vehicles under the supervision of a licensed technician. As an Apprentice Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Carrying out general maintenance and minor repairs on vehicles;
  • Executing repair orders efficiently and accurately under the guidance of a licensed automotive service technician;
  • Communicating with the Shop Foreman and Service Consultants to identify additional work requirements;
  • Maintaining and developing skill levels in vehicle repair and service;
  • Staying informed about relevant regulations and bylaws.

Key Responsibilities

In addition to the above-mentioned responsibilities, you will also be expected to:

  • Perform other tasks as required by management, such as shuttle driving or car washing;
  • Ensure the shop remains clean and organized;
  • Develop strong relationships with colleagues and management to foster a positive work environment.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications:

  • Registration with the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities;
  • A valid Ontario G Driver's Licence;
  • A clear driver's abstract;
  • Membership with the Ontario College of Trades;
  • The ability to drive manual transmission vehicles;
  • Familiarity with power tools and equipment;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
