Job Title: Early Childhood Educator

Sunningdale Children's Centre Inc. is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and engaging environment for young children to grow and develop.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Lead activities that promote learning and development, such as storytelling, singing, and exploring local points of interest.
  • Encourage children to express creativity through various forms of art, music, and physical activity.
  • Guide and assist children in developing essential life skills, such as eating, dressing, and using the bathroom.
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents or guardians.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with colleagues and community service providers.
  • Plan and maintain a safe and healthy environment for children.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience in early childhood education is an asset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Dependability and a team player attitude.
Work Environment:

The ideal candidate will be able to work in a non-smoking, air-conditioned environment with a focus on child care and development.
