Job SummaryThe Enlarged Role Nurse will work in a multidisciplinary approach, providing health and social services in an integrated manner. This role requires a nurse who can perform patient assessments, allowing a doctor to make a diagnosis at a distance and determine the appropriate interventions.
Key Responsibilities- Perform patient assessments and provide recommendations for diagnosis and treatment
- Work in a multidisciplinary approach to provide health and social services
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans
- Provide education and support to patients and their families
- Member in good standing of the O.I.I.Q
- Two (2) years of diversified experience as a nurse or One (1) year of experience as a nurse in an emergency room
- Fluent in English; Fluency in Cree or French is an asset
This position includes enlarged role functions and on-call periods for Current Services. An interview based on clinical cases may be required.
Nurses who have followed the extended role training and have not successfully completed this training are excluded from this posting. However, the nurse who demonstrates a minimum one-year of new acute care experience since the training may request a reconsideration of this exclusion.
