Mitchell Plastics, a leading manufacturer in the industry, is seeking an experienced Scheduling Expert to join our team. This critical role plays a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our production process, meeting customer requirements in a fast-paced environment.

Job Description:

  • Schedule and plan all customer requirements to meet delivery dates, ensuring timely execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate service requirements, trial requests, build-outs, and stock-building to optimize production efficiency.
  • Plan downtime for tool/press/fixture/paintline repair or preventative maintenance to minimize disruptions.
  • Meet daily with Production staff to discuss and review problems affecting schedule status, driving collaborative problem-solving.
  • Support Capacity Meetings and Engineering Change Management, executing plan changes and ensuring seamless inventory transitions.
  • Plan PM downtime, tools, assembly, maintenance, and paintlines to maintain a high level of productivity.
  • Ongoing tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of related scheduling experience within the automotive industry (APICS certificate an asset).
  • Comprehensive understanding of materials requirement planning, demand management, and forecasting.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral), with a collaborative teamwork approach.
  • Analytical problem-solving abilities, strategic planning, and outstanding organizational skills.
  • Intermediate computer skills, including Excel, MSWord, and Outlook.
  • Good mathematical aptitude with attention to detail.

Compensation and Benefits:

The estimated salary range for this position is $60,000-$80,000 per year, depending on experience. Mitchell Plastics offers a competitive pay package, including RRSP matching, health and dental benefits, tuition assistance, and opportunities for career growth.
