We are seeking a skilled and experienced Long Haul Tractor-Trailer Driver to join our team at Bulk Carriers (P.E.I.) Limited.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and driving straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials across international routes. This is a permanent position requiring a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and physical stamina.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials across international routes.
- Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
- Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle.
- Load and unload goods, and obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes.
- Transport and handle dangerous goods, and record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
- Operate GPS and other navigation equipment, and communicate with central dispatch.
- AZ class license and a valid driver's license (Class 1 or A).
- Experience with refrigerated and tractor-trailer equipment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work extended periods and travel internationally.
