Perioperative Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Perioperative Nurse Specialist to join our team at Alberta Health Services. This is an exciting opportunity for a registered nurse to provide expert care in the Surgical & Endoscopy unit of the Rocky Mountain House Health Centre.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient and family centered care to clients across the life span, utilizing critical thinking and problem solving skills to competently assess, plan, implement and evaluate safe, quality care.
- Prepare patients for surgical and endoscopic procedures, provide scrub and circulating nurse duties during procedures, post-anesthesia recovery room support, pre-procedure and post-procedure care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery and contribute to on-call support for emergency surgeries outside regular hours.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to promote a culture of empathy and respect.
- Completion of an accredited nursing education program and active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA).
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.
- One year of experience in the OR, Recovery Room, Day Surgery, or Endoscopy.
- A competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
