Job Summary

The Financial Crimes Response Product Owner I is a key role that ensures the development teams are creating value for stakeholders across the organization through the delivery of customer-focused product increments. This involves aligning with other Financial Crimes Response Engineering and Product teams and senior management to follow a product vision, creating and maintaining a prioritized product backlog, managing delivery blockers, and continuously assessing customer feedback.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a business lead and functional business specialist, providing input and executing on strategies, roadmaps, forecasts, and managing relationships with technology and business consumers.
  • Key subject matter expert professional role requiring substantial knowledge/expertise in a complex field and knowledge of broader related areas.
  • Accountable for specialized product development support based on sound product expertise and knowledge of Agile/Scrum processes, roles, and practices.
  • Integrates knowledge of the enterprise sub-function's or business line's overarching strategy in developing solutions across multiple functions or operations.
  • Interprets internal/external business challenges and the industry environment, recommends course of action, and best practices to improve products, processes, or services.
  • Leads and integrates cross-function understanding within their own field of specialty, and/or projects with significant resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity.
  • Solves or may lead others to solve complex problems; leads efforts or partners with others to develop new solutions.
  • Uses sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgment and identify solutions.
  • Impacts the achievement of sub-function or business line objectives within the area they are accountable for.
  • Communicates difficult concepts; converts information to compelling business context and advice; influences and gains alignment across increasingly senior stakeholders.
  • Works autonomously as the lead and guide others within the area of expertise.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree and/or product certificate.
  • 7+ years relevant business experience.
  • 3-5 years Product Owner or Agile-related delivery experience.
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification and project management experience considered an asset, preferred.
  • Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) certifications or experience operating in scaled agile delivery considered an asset.
  • Fraud Management, GSI, AML, or Insider Risk Management experience.
  • Case Management experience.
  • Jira, JTMF, and Confluence experience.
