Senior Java Developer Position Overview

CB Canada is seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer to join our team in the Banking Sector. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex software systems using Java and Scala.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop scalable software systems using Java and Scala
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements
  • Develop and maintain high-quality code, following industry best practices and coding standards
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to improve code quality and efficiency
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in the industry

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience with Scala and Akka
  • 10+ years of experience with Java development
  • 3+ years of experience with Rest APIs
  • 3+ years of experience with Git
  • 3+ years of experience with Jenkins and Gradle
  • 3+ years of experience with Linux shell scripting
  • 3+ years of experience with SQL server

Preferred Skills

  • Google Proto
  • .Net experience
  • SSIS
  • Previous Banking or FI experience

Work Arrangement

Hybrid work arrangement, with a mix of remote and in-office work.
