Job Title: Package Handler

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Package Handler to join our team at Packaging Depot. As a Package Handler, you will be responsible for maintaining address databases, printing and photocopying materials, and producing customized labels for letters, parcels, and packages.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date address databases
  • Print and photocopy materials as needed
  • Produce customized labels for letters, parcels, and packages
  • Stuff and seal envelopes by hand or by machine
  • Address customer complaints and concerns
  • Operate and maintain print shop and mailing house equipment
  • Answer inquiries and complete forms regarding change of address, theft, or loss of mail
  • Bundle, label, bag, and route mail into the proper delivery stream
  • Calculate and affix correct postage on letters, parcels, and registered mail
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail manually or electronically
  • Receive payments from customers
  • Record and balance daily transactions
  • Record special delivery and registered mail
  • Search directories to find correct addresses for redirected mail
  • Sort mail according to destination
  • Weigh outgoing mail
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience an asset
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle heavy loads
  • Flexibility and reliability
Work Environment:

Our team works in a fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. We require our Package Handlers to be physically demanding and able to handle heavy loads up to 23 kg (50 lbs).

Language:

The primary language for this role is English.

Work Hours:

We offer 30 to 40 hours of work per week.
