We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at First Call Construction. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining buildings, bridges, and other structures made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare layouts and designs for construction projects, ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations.
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials to create structures, fixtures, and fittings.
- Install and finish surfaces, such as flooring, walls, and ceilings, using a variety of materials.
- Maintain and repair existing structures, including buildings, bridges, and other infrastructure.
- Work safely and efficiently, using power tools and equipment to complete tasks.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the trade.
- Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy materials and equipment.
