Job Title: Stores Attendant III



Job Summary:



We are seeking a Stores Attendant III to perform a variety of stores duties in designated areas of the warehouse and logistics operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving, unpacking, and checking incoming materials, completing related paperwork, and ensuring that supplies are delivered as per specifications.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Receives, unpacks, and checks incoming materials from suppliers, ensuring that supplies are delivered as per specifications and completes related paperwork.
  • Sorts and places articles in appropriate areas, rotates stock, and ensures inventory shelves/areas are kept clean and tidy.
  • Checks invoices against orders and supplies, resolves discrepancies with suppliers and/or departments.
  • Assembles, issues, and ships supplies from requisition requests received, loads orders onto carts for delivery, and completes required documentation.
  • Identifies damaged/spoiled goods, advises appropriate personnel, and returns damaged or spoiled goods to supplier as required/directed.
  • Performs physical inventory counts, maintains inventory records, and replenishes stock based on established minimum/maximum levels.
  • Maintains records and provides information regarding stores activities, ensures correct coding on stock items, and maintains security measures.
  • Picks up and delivers supplies to and from various locations, transports supplies using various vehicles, and performs routine inspection/maintenance duties on vehicles and equipment.
  • Keeps assigned stores area(s) and goods in a clean and tidy condition, participates in continuous quality improvement activities, and assists with orienting new staff.


Requirements:




  • Grade 12 plus one year's recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Valid Class 5 vehicle license.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, ability to deal with others effectively, physical ability to carry out duties, ability to operate related equipment, and ability to organize work.
  • Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada as per TRC (2015) and BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (2019).
  • Familiarity with addressing Indigenous-specific anti-racism, anti-racism, and Indigenous Cultural Safety and foundational documents and legislative commitments.
